A free, sourced dataset of where every US state stands on K-12 school safety mapping: 22 require it by law, 3 have legislation proposed, and the rest have grant funding that can pay for it. Methodology
How this dataset is built
Each state’s status is read from the same verified fact set that drives its state page. A state is marked “required by law” only where a statute or rule is in force, “proposed” where legislation is pending, and “funding available” otherwise, since federal grant programs can fund responder-ready mapping in every state. The CSV mirrors this page column-for-column and is regenerated from the source data, so the two never drift. Read the full sourcing standard.
