What the program funds, and who can apply

Evidence-based school violence prevention: training school personnel and students to prevent violence; anonymous threat-reporting systems/apps and technology; school threat assessment teams; intervention/crisis teams; mental health crisis response training; coordination with law enforcement. NOTE: BJA STOP funds CANNOT be used for target-hardening equipment (cameras, security systems, fencing, locks, etc.) or to hire armed security/school resource officers - that side is funded by COPS SVPP. The two STOP arms are complementary.
